Eastern Canadian Wildflower and Fescue Mix (Bulk Seed)

Formulated for Atlantic Canadian conditions, Halifax Seed's wildflower mixture with sheep's fescue is a beautiful, low maintenance alternative for properties that are difficult to mow and yet require a simple and attractive ground cover. Our blend contains a mix of 19 different annual, biennial, and perennial wildflower species. Seeds are coated with phosphorous to provide nutrients as the seeds begin to grow. Sheep's fescue helps to prevent soil erosion during wildflower establishment and provides a meadow-like appearance. 

Annual species have been included to establish cover in the first year. Biennials will reseed themselves year after year. Perennials will live for more than two years and flower from the second year onward. Very few wildflower species will bloom continuously throughout the season so all Halifax Seed Wildflower Mixtures include spring, summer and fall blooming flower species to paint the landscape with ever-changing reds, pinks, blues, yellows, and whites year after year.
